Achillea millefolium 'Paprika'

This low-maintenance Yarrow forms a compact mound of aromatic foliage, with a neat, upright habit.

- Tiny, densely packed scarlet red flowers with yellow centres are produced in flat plates which top tall, airy, upright stems, from June onwards. Flowers fade to paler pink as they age. Keep deadheading spent blooms to prolong flowering through the autumn until the first frost.  

- Attractive grey-green foliage is soft and feathery to touch, and is fragrant too for an added bonus.

- Requires normal to poor well-draining soil in full sun or dappled shade. A staple plant in show gardens and cottage gardens. Its tolerance to drought means it is fantastic for coastal and Mediterranean-style gardens, while also working well in rockeries, pots, and prairie-style planting. It makes an excellent cut flower in dried of fresh-cut arrangements.

- The flat flower heads make a great landing platform for bees, hoverflies and butterflies.
