Agapanthus 'White Heaven' is a stunning variety with densely packed, larger-than-usual flowers. May require some winter protection in colder regions.
- From July until September, extra large pure white flowers, packed with buds for fantastic impact, are borne on sturdy upright green stems. Sometimes the flowers can be semi-double, adding additional interest. (***Restrict the roots and give as much sun as possible for best flowering results!)
- Strappy green foliage forms a dense mound and contrasts beautifully against the snow white flowers above.
- Requires a good full sun, sheltered location with well-draining soil for best impact. They dislike areas that get very wet in the winter. Very drought-tolerant once established, and also very suitable to exposed coastal gardens. A great architectural plant for rockeries, raised beds, herbaceous and mixed borders, but particularly suitable to keeping in pots long-term. Flowers can also be used in flower arranging.
- The flowers will attract a wide range of pollinators.
- Like all Agapanthus varieties, the best flower results come from plants where the roots are restricted in their spread. This is what makes them very suitable for pots, which should result in many flower stems each year. If you find those planted in the ground have lovely healthy foliage but no flowers, try to dig up a clump and keep it in a pot, or keep it in a reasonably sized pot when planting into the ground so that the roots will still be restricted.
- Height and Spread approx. 80-100cm x 40-60cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
