A very compact form of Allium that flowers in the summer months.
- From June until August/September, tiny mauve-pink star-shaped flowers are produced in densely packed drumstick heads (approx. 5cm in size) on slender upright stems.
- It has very thin, linear glossy green foliage that forms a compact mound at the base of the plant, retaining its foliage while in flower.
- Best grown in a full sun location, and is considered reasonably low-maintenance and drought-tolerant once established. Its compact form makes it a great addition for rockeries or pots, while also adding stunning colour and impact in cottage garden planting, mixed borders, raised beds and Mediterranean-style gardens. It also makes an excellent cut flower, in both fresh and dried arrangements.
- Like other Alliums, this is an absolute magnet for all kinds of pollinators. At any time you will find it swarmed with bees, hoverflies, butterflies, and more!
- Height and Spread approx. 30-40cm x 10-20cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
