Anemone 'Elfin Swan'

This Anemone is one of our absolute favourites - from the 'Swan Series', this range of Anemones is non-invasive (does not spread via rhizomes), and just remains in a very neat, tidy clump that is full of flower throughout late summer and autumn. 

- From July onwards, an abundance of dainty snow-white flowers (sometimes semi-double) with beautifully contrasting golden yellow stamens are produced on elegant upright stems. The closed flower buds are deep pink to purple in colour. The reverse of the alternating petals are banded with lilac-blue, creating a subtle yet stunning bonus feature. 

- with 'Elfin Swan' being one of the more compact varieties of Anemone, the mid-green lush foliage forms a compact mound beneath the flowers, creating the perfect backdrop. 

- A very hardy, versatile plant that will grow in most garden spaces - it just dislikes areas that are very wet in the winter months. It thrives best in shaded conditions, such as under tree canopies, but will also tolerate full sun providing the area does not dry out too much. The perfect addition for cottage gardens, pots, woodland planting and wildlife gardens, while also making a beautiful cut flower.
