Also known as 'Mouse Plant' this unusual perennial is one for the plant collectors, or for anyone looking for a bit of a novelty plant that they can show off in their garden.
- From early April, purple-brown hooded flowers are produced, which are tipped with a long, narrow squiggly 'tail', giving it its name as the Mouse Plant.
- Flowers are found beneath the dense green foliage, which forms a carpet of green throughout the spring months before going completely dormant during the summer.
- Prefers damp shaded areas, so is a great option for woodland planting. It will also tolerate reasonable sun, provided it can avoid scorching and drought.
- Spreads by underground rhizomes, so will slowly spread into a reasonably-sized clump.
- Height and Spread approx. 20cm x 45cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
