A low growing, mounding evergreen perennial that is native to Ireland, typically found in coastal areas. Commonly known as Sea Thrift.

- Round, drumstick heads of clustered white flowers are produced on wispy upright stems, starting in May and continuing until July. Regular deadheading will keep new flowers coming into the autumn.

- The stiff, narrow grass-like foliage forms neat compact rounded mounds, working very well as a ground cover. It is evergreen, so holds some interest year-round.

- These plants are known for their ability to survive in tough climates. They are very hardy towards cold, and very tolerant of extreme exposure to wind and harsh factors such as salty sea breeze and dry, shallow soils. They require full sun and well draining soil, and work very well in rockeries, Mediterranean gardens and containers. They will also work as edging or low ground cover plants in raised beds and mixed borders.

- The flowers will attract all sorts of pollinators, particularly bees to butterflies.

- Height and Spread approx. 20cm x 30-50cm.

- Supplied in a 9cm pot
