syn. Symphyotrichum dumosum 'Blue Lapis'. This autumn flowering perennial is a dwarf, sturdy upright form of Michaelmas Daisy, ideal for herbaceous beds and borders that require flower colour later in the year.
- From late August until late November/December, panicles of dainty, star-shaped violet-blue flowers with yellow centres are produced.
- Its lush, lanceolate dark green foliage, sometimes edged with a deep maroon red, forms from late spring on strong, upright, sturdy stems.
- Perfect for any raised bed, mixed border, or even pots in full sun or dappled shade.
- Very impactful when used in mass planting with a mix of other contrasting perennials.
- The flowers will attract a wide range of bees, butterflies and other pollinators, as it provides an important source of pollen late in the year when many other perennials have finished flowering.
- Height and Spread approx. 45-60cm x 45-60cm.
