Astilbe Peaches and Cream

A compact, clump forming perennial where both the flowers and foliage are equally impressive and impactful.

- From late June until August/September, feathery plumes of light pink to cream flowers are produced on upright stems. The flower colour changes slightly as the season progresses, and gives a sort of two-tone effect.

- Its attractive, glossy dark green foliage is fern-like in its appearance and texture, forming a densely packed mound beneath the flowers.

- Thrives best in damp soils in semi- to deep-shade areas, and so is a great choice for softening shaded beds, woodland underplanting and pond margins. It makes an excellent cut flower in both dried and freshly cut arrangements, and is also very suitable for pots. Can be grown in full sun if sufficiently watered and sheltered from scorching afternoon sun. 

- The flowers will attract bees and butterflies, amongst a wide range of other pollinator species.

- Height and Spread approx. 60-80cm x 60cm.
