Astrantia major 'Sunningdale Variegated'

A stunning variety of Astrantia with eye-catching variegated foliage.

- From early summer through until autumn, long-lasting pale pink to white pincushion flowers are produced. 

- In early summer, foliage emerges in a tidy mound, mid-green in colour fringed with bright gold to cream variegation. The variegation will gradually fade as the summer progresses. 

- Deadhead flowers regularly to encourage prolific flowering into the autumn. 

- Suitable for full sun and partially shaded areas, it can grow well in any cottage garden or mixed border, as well as in dappled shade under tree canopies. 

- A long flowering time makes it appealing to a wide range of beneficial pollinators. 

- Can also be used as a cut flower, as flowers can dry and last for a long time in arrangements. 

- Height and Spread approx. 60cm x 60cm.
