Beaucarnea recurvata / Ponytail Palm

Also known as Elephants Foot, this is actually one of my favourite Houseplants! It is SUPER easy to maintain, and requires very little water as its swollen trunk base stores water that can keep this plant alive for weeks on end. 

- Unusual and quirky, long narrow strands of arching dark green curly foliage emerges from the woody base, which leads to the name 'Pony Tail Palm'. 

- It likes a bright room out of direct sunlight, and please avoid direct contact with heat sources and cold draughts. 

- Very drought tolerant thanks to the trunk - it can become very shrivelled in times of extreme drought, in which case just sit it in water and let it soak up for 30 minutes or so, and it will be happy to go again!

- Small amounts of water at a time, and be very careful not to overwater (Houseplant Rule Number 1!).

- Supplied in 12cm pot, currently 30-40cm tall.

- A fantastic choice for beginners. And secret tip.... it looks great with added Googly Eyes!
