Also known as Elephant Ears or Pigsqueak, this compact, evergreen, spreading perennial is a very popular garden choice for early spring flowers.
- Plentiful upright spikes holding clusters of light to deep pink flowers are produced from April until June.
- Tough, succulent evergreen foliage forms a dense clump, which slowly spreads as a ground cover. Leaves are mid- to deep-green for most of the year, taking on some darker reddish-purple tones during the colder winter months, providing some additional interest.
- A very tough, resilient, low-maintenance perennial suitable for most garden spaces. It can tolerate shade, and also some full sun, but probably performs best in a semi-shaded location. It works very well as a ground cover beneath trees in woodland-style planting, in cool or shaded rockery gardens, cottage gardens, edging borders and raised beds, wildlife gardens, in pots, or amongst other shrubs and perennials in mixed borders.
- An important food source for early-season pollinators.
- Height and Spread approx. 30-50cm x 30-50cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
