Campanula portenschlagiana

A low-maintenance, spreading, evergreen plant perfect for ground cover or cascading pots, walls and raised beds. 

- From mid summer, an abundance of star-shaped purple bell flowers are produced that sit above the carpeting foliage, providing a sea of colour. Can be easily deadheaded by trimming the whole plant with a scissors, just like a haircut, and a fresh flush of flowers will soon follow. 

- Deep green heart-shaped leaves are small and toothed, providing year-round interest as a dense carpeting mat that can spread freely.  

- Requires full sun and well-draining soil, and so makes a perfect rockery plant for growing out of cracks and crevices in walls and pavements. It is also a fantastic plant for softening borders and edging paths, as well as growing in pots. It can tolerate some dappled shade, but does not like areas that retain too much water, especially in the winter months. 

- The flowers are very attractive to a wide range of pollinators.

- Height and Spread approx. 10cm x 30-50cm.
