A very attractive semi-evergreen to evergreen mounding perennial that forms compact clumps of ferny foliage.

- From April until around July, darker-than-usual gentian blue tubular flowers are produced on upright vibrant red stems that float above the foliage. The flowers are lightly fragrant with a honey scent.

- Its lush blue-green fern-like foliage forms neat mounds. Leaves may become flecked with dusky brown-red spots and slowly disappear as the warmer, drier summer weather kicks in, but new foliage then begins to re-emerge in winter.

- A very subtle but very stunning perennial for semi-shaded locations, making an ideal low growing ground cover plant for under trees and shrubs, or in amongst other perennials in cottage or wildlife gardens, and naturalistic planting schemes. It can tolerate full sun too, providing it does not dry out too much.

- The tubular shape and vibrant colour of the flowers makes it attractive to various pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

- Height and Spread approx. 30-45cm x 30-45cm.

- Supplied in a 9cm pot
