A small flowered Montbretia, known for being one of the most floriferous varieties despite its compact form. Can sometimes be on the tender side, so can benefit from some winter protection.
- From July until September, sprays of red buds held on dark, upright branching stems open up to vibrant carmine-red tubular flowers with yellow throats.
- Its mid-green strappy, blade-like foliage adds texture to the garden from May until the first frost.
- Suitable for most garden types, growing best in full sun to semi-shade areas with well-draining soil. They are very drought-tolerant once established, making them a suitable plant for coastal gardens and exposed sites. An eye-catching plant for colour, texture and impact for the middle of mixed beds and borders, and works very well in pots too. It also makes for a great cut flower.
- Please note these can spread quite vigorously in their clumps via corms under ground, and can be difficult to 100% remove them from an area once planted. So just make sure that you are happy with the planting space before you commit to them.
- The flowers will attract a wide range of pollinators.
- Height and Spread approx. 60-80cm x 40-60cm+.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
