An attractive form of Montbretia that is one of the earliest varieties to come into flower.
- In June, orange buds open up to butter yellow trumpet-shaped flowers, held on strong upright, arching stems that last until late August/September.
- Green sword-like foliage forms a dense clump beneath the flowers, and is good for adding texture throughout the growing season.
- Suitable for any full sun to semi-shade areas with well-draining soil. Drought-tolerant once established, they are a fantastic plant for keeping in pots, which will also keep their spread contained. They are a very typical coastal garden plant, but also works well in tropical and prairie-style planting, raised beds, cottage gardens and mixed borders. It makes a stunning addition to cut flower arrangements.
- Please note these can spread quite vigorously in their clumps via corms under ground, and can be difficult to 100% remove them from an area once planted.
- The flowers will attract a wide range of pollinators.
- Height and Spread approx. 60-90cm x 60-80cm+.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
