A French variety of Montbretia with attractive two-toned flowers. A little on the tender side so may require some winter protection.
- From late June until late August, strong upright stems form arching sprays of bicoloured golden yellow and orange trumpet-shaped flowers, produced from red buds.
- It forms a lush base of deep green sword-like foliage, adding texture throughout the growing season and creating a nice backdrop against its bright flowers.
- Suitable for any full sun to semi-shade areas with well-draining soil. Drought-tolerant once established, they are a fantastic plant for keeping in pots, which will also keep their spread contained. They are a very typical coastal garden plant, but also works well in tropical and prairie-style planting, raised beds, cottage gardens and mixed borders. It makes a stunning addition to cut flower arrangements.
- Please note these can spread quite vigorously in their clumps via corms under ground, and can be difficult to 100% remove them from an area once planted.
- The flowers will attract a wide range of pollinators.
- Height and Spread approx. 60-80cm x 40-60cm+.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
