Dianthus deltoides 'Flashing Lights'

A hardy, low-maintenance mat-forming evergreen plant perfect for rockeries, wall planting, for spilling out of pots and edging raised beds. Also goes by Dianthus deltoides 'Leuchtfunk'.

- Flat scarlet red flowers, centred with a darker maroon-coloured eye, are produced in abundance from late spring to late summer, carpeting the ground in a sea of colour.

- Its linear dark green leaves form dense tufts of evergreen foliage that spreads tight to the ground in neat mats.

- Thrives in full sun areas with free-draining soils, and does not like areas that retain too much water during the winter months. Very drought-tolerant once established, it is perfect for rockeries, coastal and Mediterranean gardens, dry sunny banks, growing in cracks and crevices in walls or paving, and for trailing over pots and raised beds. 

- The flowers will attract a wide range of pollinators

- Height and Spread approx. 10cm x 30-50cm.
