An upright, compact form of Cone Flower with impactful flowers providing long-lasting colour.
- Large flower heads have pure white petals which arch downwards from the central cone they surround. The cone starts off as a mid-green, before developing into a contrasting orange-brown colour. Flowers are produced on sturdy stems from July until November, and will benefit from regular deadheading.
- Toothed, slightly hairy mid-green leaves form a clump below the flowers.
- Free draining soil is essential for these plants to come back every year. They do not like areas that remain wet during the winter months. Adding a layer of sand or grit to the base of the planting hole may help with improving drainage and increase its chances of surviving the winter.
- They require a hot, full sun area such as courtyard, Mediterranean and gravel gardens, and usual thrive in coastal gardens where the soil tends to be sandy. They work very well in prairie gardens and other full sun mixed borders and raised beds, but may need additional mix to the soil where they are planted. They make a fantastic long-lasting cut flower too.
- The large central cone of each flower provides an ideal landing platform for all kinds of pollinators, appealing more to butterflies and bees.
- Height and Spread approx. 60-80cm x 40-60cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
