Gazania 'Daybreak Bright Orange'

Appropriately names as 'Treasure Flower', Gazanias really are stunningly eye-catching. An attractive evergreen ground cover plant for full sun areas, with large, vibrant flowers that close up at night, performing best when the sun is shining bright.

- From late May/June right up until the first frost, large bright orange daisy-like flowers, measuring 8-10cm across, are produced. The unusual flowers close up at night time, and open best on a clear day where the sun is shining bright. 

- Its dark green foliage has contrasting silver undersides, and forms a lush, compact ground cover beneath the vibrant flowers. 

- Full sun is essential for this plant to flower and look its best. It is very drought-tolerant once established, and does not like areas that retain too much water, or are too wet during the winter months. A really stunning plant for exposed coastal, rockery and Mediterranean gardens, or for pots in full sun areas such as patios or conservatories.

- The flowers will attract a range of pollinators.
