A very hardy, very vibrant, low-growing deciduous grass, also known as Japanese Forest Grass.
- Narrow, arching bright yellow leaves with green stripes form neat, tidy mounds of foliage that will brighten up any bed.
- Leaves tend to naturally arch in the same direction, creating almost a waterfall-like effect, and so are perfect for softening borders, growing over rocks or edging raised beds, and also for containers.
- Thrives in semi-shade, and will also grow well in deep shade, but the bright yellow foliage will be more of a lime-green with the reduced sunlight of deep shade.
- Spreads via rhizomes, however its growth is very slow, and so it is easily controlled and will not compete with surrounding plants.
- This plant is grown primarily for its foliage. Insignificant brown flower heads are produced in summer.
- Height and Spread approx. 30cm x 30-50cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
