Also goes by Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus (but obviously 'flava' is much easier to pronounce!), this lemon daylily slowly grows in spreading clumps that typically flower earlier than other daylily species.

- Bright lemon-yellow fragrant flowers start in May/June and continue until early autumn. Flowers typically only last 24 hours, giving its name 'Daylily', but there is always new buds ready to open to replace the blooms of the previous day.

- It has long, slender, grass-like foliage that is blue-green in colour, and forms a tidy clump beneath the flowers.

- Suitable for any full sun location or dappled shade, and can be successfully grown in pots. Also tolerant of coastal conditions, and is said to be deer and rabbit resistant.

- The flowers will attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

- Height and Spread approx. 60-80cm x 45-60cm.

- Supplied in a 9cm pot
