A stunning perennial with a light and airy, clump-forming habit, typically used in wildflower meadow and cottage garden planting schemes.
- Deep crimson pincushion flowers are borne on slender, upright wiry stems from July until September. Deadhead regularly will greatly improve its flowering
- The deeply lobed green foliage forms a tidy compact clump at the base of the plant.
- A must-have in any wildlife garden, it will grow well in any full-sun area and is drought tolerant once established. A fantastic addition to prairie-style planting due to its elegant floating flower heads, it combines beautifully with ornamental grasses and other dainty perennials. Very suitable to any cottage garden, mixed borders, raised beds, coastal and Mediterranean-style gardens, rockeries, and naturalistic planting schemes. The flowers work well in arrangements too.
- The flat, pincushion flower heads make a great landing platform for butterflies, bees, hoverflies and other beneficial pollinators.
- Has the potential to self-seed if flowers are not deadheaded.
- Height and Spread approx. 80-100cm x 40-60cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
