A hardy biennial/short-lived perennial that provides striking contrast and vibrancy to the garden.

- The most vivid magenta-pink flowers are produced in abundance on upright stems, from late June right throughout summer and autumn. Deadheading flowers will encourage repeat long-lasting blooms.

- Its velvety silver-grey leaves are soft to touch, and give a stunning contrast against the vibrant flowers above.

- It will grow best in full sun, where the leaves will also be brighter and lighter in colour, but can also tolerate partial shade very well. It is a fantastic plant for cottage gardens, prairie-style planting, mixed borders, coastal gardens and wildlife beds, and will provide plentiful flowers throughout the growing season.

- Flowers are hugely attractive to bees and other beneficial pollinators.

- It can freely self-seed if allowed, and so, even though short-lived, will guarantee flowers every year from the young new plants that will always be emerging. Unwanted plants can be easily removed, or spent flowers can be cut back before they go to seed to reduce the spread.

- Its biennial nature means that in the first year, when grown from seed, only foliage will emerge, with flowers being produced in the second year. When sowing seed, retaining some for sowing the following year will ensure you will have flowers with every growing season.

- Height and Spread approx. 60-90cm x 45-60cm.

- Supplied in a 9cm pot
