The white flowering form of our native Ragged Robin, this long-flowering perennial has an upright, spreading habit that thrives best in damp soils.
- From early summer to late summer, dainty white star-shaped flowers are borne in flat clusters on elegant, tall stems. Pruning back in late July will encourage another flush of flowers for the autumn.
- Its mid-green leaves at the base of the plant are pointed, and form a tidy mound. They become smaller and more rounded as they occur up the stems.
- Prefers damp soil in full sun or dappled shade, and so can make a fantastic pondside marginal plant. Grows very well in bog gardens, along with cottage and wildlife gardens with mixed perennial planting. Also suitable for prairie gardens providing the ground does not dry out too much.
- Its long flowering time greatly appeals to a wide range of pollinators, particularly butterflies and bees.
- Height and Spread approx. 60-90cm x 60cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
