Nepeta 'Picture Purrfect'

Another variety of Catmint with a very compact form, this low-maintenance perennial flowers a bit earlier than other Nepeta varieties and will provide long-lasting colour from May until October.

- Vibrant blue flowers are produced in dense clusters, forming a mass of colour that will last from early summer until the first frost. Relative to its size, the bloom spikes are larger than other Catmint varieties. 

- Grey green, aromatic foliage forms a densely packed, compact mound. Its pleasant fragrance and soft touch makes it a good addition for sensory gardens. 

- If flowers become spent in mid summer, the plant can be pruned back to allow for a fresh growth of new flowers and foliage.

- Thrives in any full sun location with well-draining soil, and is reasonably drought tolerant once established. It will also grow well in dappled shade. Its compact size makes it perfect for pots and rockery areas, but will also make a stunning addition to the front of borders and raised beds. Great for coastal and Mediterranean-style gardens, and can also be used as a compact hedge to edge beds and footpaths, for example.

- The flowers are an absolute magnet for many pollinators, particularly a wide range of bees.

- Your cat/neighbourhood cat will be sure to thank you for this addition too, as our feline friends find Nepeta highly irresistible, and can often be found rolling around in them before entering the therapeutic 'zen' phase that soon follows.
