Also known as Japanese Tassel Fern, this evergreen perennial has a stiff, upright habit, giving it a shuttlecock shape overall.

- Fronds emerge in spring yellowish green in colour, and covered in golden hairs, which give it its 'Tassel' name. The foliage unfurls and develops into lush, glossy, dark green bipinnate fronds that are finely divided.

- Thrives best in partial or deep shade, as too much sun can cause the leaves to scorch. Very good for pondside margins, shaded rockeries, woodland areas and shade beds, and pots. It catches frost beautifully in winter and spring months, and can make a good impact when planted amongst spring flowering bulbs for interest in the earlier months, when most other plants are dormant.

- Its evergreen nature means it will retain its foliage for the winter months, but it will benefit from a cut back in spring to allow for the fresh new foliage to emerge.

- Height and Spread approx. 60-90cm x 80-100cm.

- Supplied in a 11cm pot
