A stunning semi-evergreen to evergreen fern with a compact habit.
- Its intricate, finely cut fronds emerge in spring, unfurling into long, elegant bright green foliage with a lacey design. Fronds tend to lie more flat than other Polystichum varieties, forming a large rosette where its beauty can be more easily seen and admired.
- Thrives best in damp partial or deep shade, as too much sun can cause the leaves to scorch. Very good for pondside margins, shaded rockeries, woodland areas and shade beds, naturalistic planting schemes, and also for pots. It can make a good impact when planted amongst spring flowering bulbs for interest in the earlier months, when most other plants are dormant.
- It will generally retain its foliage for the winter months, but it will benefit from a cut back in spring to allow for the fresh new foliage to emerge.
- Height and Spread approx. 60-90cm x 80-100cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
