A very pretty, compact, spring flowering evergreen wildflower that is native to Ireland.

- Pale yellow, sweetly scented flowers appear in clusters from early March until May, forming an early season carpet of colour - a sure sign that spring has sprung! Flowers are also edible, and are used to decorate salads and garnish plates.

- Rosettes of tongue-shaped evergreen leaves, mid to dark green in colour, form densely packed clumps that sit low to the ground.

- Best suited to a cool, damp, shaded spot, often found growing as a ground cover under hedges or dappled shade of woodland trees. It will also tolerate full sun, for example in sheltered rockery areas or edging borders. It will slowly naturalise in an area if left to its own devices.

- Flowers are an important food source for early season pollinators due to its spring flowering time. The plant is also used as a food source for caterpillars of several species of moth.

- Height and Spread approx. 10cm x 10-20cm.

- Supplied in a 9cm pot
