Pulmonaria 'Shrimps on the Barbie'

One of the best plant names I've come across yet, but this isn't the only reason we are stocking it! This is a really stunning, low-maintenance ground cover perennial with vibrant spring flowers to carry us into the summer season.

- Deep shrimp-pink, almost red flowers are produced from March until June, forming a mass of colour which carpets the ground, also acting as a weed suppressant. 

- Its deep green elongated leaves are marbled with silver spots, creating extra interest as a good ground cover throughout summer and autumn. As it is semi-evergreen, it usually retains some foliage for the winter too. 

- Best suited to semi-shade and deep shade, while also tolerating some full sun positions providing it does not dry out too much. A stunning addition to the front of borders or planting between trees and shrubs, wildlife gardens and for shaded rockery areas. Said to be deer, rabbit and mildew resistant. 

- Its long flowering time and spring flowers are a very important food source for early season pollinators such as Bumblebees, Solitary Bees and Hoverflies. 

- Height and Spread approx. 20-30cm x 40-60cm.
