A slowly spreading, clumping perennial with wiry branching stems and a more compact habit than other Sanguisorba varieties.
- Short, dense spikes of creamy white flowers are borne on slender stems that move elegantly in the breeze. Flowers from late June until late August.
- Small, toothed fern-like green foliage forms neat compact mounds low to the ground. Foliage has a lovely fresh cucumber scent when picked or crushed.
- Regular deadheading will encourage new flowers and prolong its flowering time into late autumn.
- Suitable for any full sun location or dappled shade location, and it can be reasonably drought-tolerant once established. Its compact form can provide vertical interest for low to medium height in mixed perennial borders. It is a staple plant in prairie-style planting, as well as naturalistic meadows and wildflower gardens.
- The flowers are a magnet for pollinators, specifically a wide range of bees and butterflies.
- Height and Spread approx. 60cm x 40-60cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
