One of the more popular and most loved Sedum varieties, this reliable late flowering perennial will provide long lasting interest as many other summer flowers are starting to wind down.

- In mid summer, flower buds will begin to form in dense clusters that resemble heads of broccoli. These open up into wide flat plates of tiny deep pink to red star-shaped flowers, which last from July until November. These make for excellent cut flowers too!

- The thick, succulent light green foliage forms a tidy mound beneath the flowers.

- A real staple plant for bordering in cottage gardens, rockeries, coastal gardens and pots. It has a good tolerance for drought once established. Requires full sun, but will grow well in dappled shade providing the soil is well draining and it does not retain too much water in the wet winter months.

- The old flower heads can be left for the winter months, as they can add a bit of winter interest in the garden. Alternatively, the whole plant can be cut back to ground level and mulched after it goes into its winter dormancy, usually from December onwards.

- As you can see from the photos, its difficult to get an image of the flowers without it being swarmed by bees and other pollinators. They are a magnet for butterflies too!

- Height and Spread approx. 45-60cm x 60cm.

- Supplied in a 9cm pot
