A compact, upright clump forming grass with soft, wispy habit that elegantly sways even in a gentle breeze.
- The narrow, light and airy foliage is pale green when it first emerges in spring, later turning to a gorgeous silver-blonde in the autumn months, which holds well through winter and spring.
- Feathery plumes of silver-green flower heads develop in late summer, and add to the delicate softness of the grass. The flowers turn to a straw yellow as they turn in late autumn.
- This grass is an absolute must-have for every cottage- and prairie-style garden, as it is a staple plant for mixing with other perennials and shrubs in beds and borders in full sun or dappled shade. It is very drought-tolerant once established, and is great for coastal gardens and for keeping in pots. It is also a great option for sensory gardens due to its wonderfully soft foliage.
- It is an semi-evergreen to evergreen grass which often holds its colour well through 2-3 growing seasons. If it becomes a bit tired looking, or overall flopped, messy or brown in colour, cut back to 2-3 inches in spring and allow the fresh green growth to start again.
- Height and Spread approx. 60cm x 30-50cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
