This very hardy, vigorous deciduous perennial forms a dense carpet of lush green foliage from spring through to late autumn.
- In April and May, masses of red-tinted flower buds open to attractive soft-blue to white tubular bell-shaped flowers.
- It thrives in most areas, from full sun to deep shade, and can make a fantastic groundcover under trees, while also working well in containers providing it is kept sufficiently watered.
- These flowers are an absolute magnet for bumblebees and honey bees, and will be sure to draw in a wide range of pollinators to your garden.
- Can be cut back hard after flowering to encourage a flush of new young foliage for the summer months.
- Can spread quite vigorously, so may need to be managed in more confined areas with restricted planting spaces.
- Known to have a range of herbal and medicinal uses.
- Height and Spread approx. 50cm x 75-90cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
