A more compact version of Verbena bonariensis, and so is more suitable to areas where height and size is restricted.
- From June until late autumn, clusters of dainty, vibrant purple flowers are found scattered among the upright, rigid, well branched habit of the stiff green structural stems.
- Mid-green foliage is small and elongated, and are more concentrated towards the base of the plant.
- An architectural plant that thrives in full sun and well draining soil, such as that found in Mediterranean or coastal gardens, as well as being a staple plant in prairie style planting, wildlife and cottage gardens. This compact form would also grow well in a pot. The flowers can make an interesting addition to cut flower arrangements.
- Flowers are a magnet for butterflies, bees, hoverflies and other beneficial pollinators.
- It's a little bit on the tender side, so may need winter protection. It does not tend to seed as freely as the normal Verbena bonariensis.
- Height and Spread approx. 60-90cm x 60cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
