A real architectural plant that adds height and continuity in flower beds, as its self-seeding habit can create drifts of tall, upright flowers.
- Slender branching stems produce and abundance of tiny vivid pink flowers arranged in clustered spires from June to September.
- Its mid-green foliage forms a dense mound of branching stems at the base of the plant.
- Requires well draining soil in a full sun position, and does not like areas that are too wet in the winter months. It can add stunning and eye-catching vertical structure and interest with its flowering spikes. A great low-maintenance addition to cottage, wildlife and prairie gardens, flower beds and mixed borders, and also thrives in coastal areas. It can also make an excellent cut flower.
- Flowers are a magnet for butterflies, bees, hoverflies and other beneficial pollinators.
- Can freely self-seed if allowed, so can spread quite a bit through beds. To avoid this, deadhead spent flowers regularly before they go to seed. This will also help to prolong its flowering time.
- Height and Spread approx. 120-150cm x 60-80cm.
- Supplied in a 9cm pot
